State: Southern NJ (July 12, 2003) Details: My brother and I were taking down an old metal shed, and didn't realize P. I. was all around us. Until after breaking out in a rash the next day. We always teased our other brother who always gets P. I.. Well now it's his turn to tease us.. (And he hasn't stopped yet!) The P. I. is a huge vine growing up the tree! Very "hairy" so we assume it's old. The vine actually has BRACNCHES about 3/4 of an inch thick coming out of the main vine! The vine at one point on the tree is about 8 inches across! We both thought P. I. was an annual plant not a perennial! Live and learn.. If you want to use these pictures to help others identify there P. I. go right ahead! You have my permission! Thanks, Itchy from NJ
