Question Asked: Is this poison ivy?

Answer: Bruce - the first picture is not poison ivy. It's one of those "imposter" plants. One of the key identifiers are the thorns (at least that's what I believe I'm seeing there are some light bristly thorns). Likely is wild raspberry or similar plant. In the second and third pictures, that sure does look like a patch of new poison ivy growth (the reddish leaves). That is characteristic of spring growth.
