Question Asked: I planted a Clematis plant in this spot and I have a red rash after touching it today. The rash does not have blisters but I am concerned since I am expecting. Any information you can share is helpful.

Answer: This looks like clematis to me. There are a number of species of clematis with a trifolate leaf including Clematis serratifolia. Could you have come in contact with poison ivy elsewhere? Or could it be that you are having an reaction to this plant? A number of plants in our gardens can be skin irritants to sensitive individuals.
