I started eating a dried tropical fruit mix fom Wal Mart about 3 months ago thinking it was healthier than some other snacks. Boy was I wrong! I started feeling under the weather but never connected it with food. I started felling worse and was having dizzy spells and thought my blood pressure was low. Then my ear swelled shut. Went to the ER. Doc said fungal infection and gave meds. I thought he was wrong as my throught was real scratchy as well and the estachian tube was clogged. He blew me off. Well my ear drum burst and all the fluid drained into my stomach and I almost fainted. Was going to go to another ER but got on the computer and found out about mangoes and cashews being part of poison oak family. That explained it all. I was eating urishol for over a month!!!! I immediatly threw out the tropical mix but the next day I started breaking out on both arma with SEVERE poison oak from my wrists to above my elbows. I bought the Zanfel and used it all up. What a relief it gave me! I was even breaking out on my eyelids and face. I could not afford more Zanfel so got the Technu poison ivy wash. My arms still look a mess as it is coming out of my blood but they are healing. I am still feeling a bit week after 3 weeks but nothing like before. I have seen on other websites were doctors are diagnosing everything from herpes to shingles with this mango allergy rash so what are we to do? Thank God for sites like this one or I might have died.
By the way the tropical fruit and nut mix from Wallyworld does not actually contain mangoes but I looked up the company that makes it and they also sell dried mangoes so I believe their facilty and machinery is cross contaminated with this urishol.
Oh and another thing is that with this systemic urishol poisoning, I can only eat a few foods that do not make me sick and dizzy. That would be meat, cheese and white bread(yuck)
But with God's help I am getting a little better every day and my ear drum has healed-no thanks to the doctor. It has been 3 weeks of hell and still going.
