i completely understand! i have it on my lips from my cat. the best thing for me to relieve the discomfort from the swelling and blisters is a combination of neosporin and a chap stick for cold sores (which is mainly all natural ingredients that wont further the irritation) i have been using the chap stick on the inner part of my lips and the neosporin on the outer more swollen parts. it eases the discomfort and if u repeat this a couple times a day smiling wont faze you and eating is easier. also simply putting ice on them helps swelling and the minor itch.
