Apparently, I picked up poison ivy or poison oak from something growing in potted plants on my deck. Certainly I did not plant them so they must have blown into the pots and taken root. I thought they were weeds, didn't realize they were poison, and must have brushed my wrist against them while watering plants. Is this unusual? Can poison plant seeds be airborne and then take root in a potted plant on a deck? How to prevent THAT? I'm planning to tear out all suspicious weeds (wearing gloves and protective gear), but if anyone has advice,I'd be grateful.
