I just purchased a home with a swimming pool. I found poison ivy growing in the shrubs around the pool. I had someone come out and remove the poison ivy (I am highly sensitive), and found that during the removal process, several pieces of the plant blew into the pool. Will the pool chemicals neutralize the poison ivy after shocking the pool, or will the urishiol just float on the water like most oils? I just has to get special permission to fill the pool once (we are under water restrictions) can can not drain and fill it again for a while. If the regular chemicals will not neutralize it, is there anything on the market that will.

Thanks,
Pete
