Once the ivy oil has bound to your skin, and you have washed off the rest, the poison does not spread. However, the oil might be other places on the skin that don't react as quickly, so it may break out later in the week. Also, if you touched things in the house, your shoes, doorknobs, bathroom fixtures, etc. the oil may remain and you could keep re-exposing yourself. Try to wipe off everything you think you may have touched, change your sheets and towels immmediately. I am in the last states of a VERY bad outbreak with two rebounds to inadequate steroid prescriptions. DO NOT use Ivy Dry -it'll give you a chemical burn on top of the ivy (ouch).
