I am anxious to find an answer to this situation, or at least someone who can point me in the right direction. I have always been allergic to poision ivy, but with the pregnancy and birth of my second son this and other skin allergies have gotten worse: dish soap, penicillan (hives with each). It got worse with my daughter: dish soap, hand soap, mangos; and where the sensitivities grew mild after I delivered with my son, they have stayed with me since my daughter was delivered. I am 30 years old now, and we are thinking about another child. I was told by my OBGYN that with each kid I will be more and more sensitive to ivy, soap, etc. So, here are my questions. Anyone else out there with the same issue they are dealing with? Any information on how hormone levels affect allergic reactions? I have heard that ivy and other skin allergies get worse with age - is this just getting worse with age, or is it REALLY related to each additional pregnancy? We would really like to have another child, but with the EXTREME paranoia that each thing I touch/eat/come into contact with might make me break out into an itchy rash that will only go away with a new mixture of steriods (not to mention the detective work that goes into finding out that cutting into or consuming a mango of all things is the source of an amazing allergic reaction that covers my entire arms from elbows to fingertips).... that's very scary to us (ME).

HELP!!!!!!
