Hi Jaro -

Is this your first time with a poison ivy rash? First timers exhibit slightly different response times than us old timers. It can take longer for the rash to occur and longer (2 to 3 weeks) for it to go its course.

Things to remember - keep the rash clean and dry. Don't scratch. Don't stress. One treatment that my husband uses is baking soda mixed with a little water to form a paste. Put that on the rash for about 10-15 minutes and then wash off and pat dry. This helps dry it out. There are probably as many treatments as there are outbreaks. You'll need to find what works for you.

Good luck.
