I've just recently moved to a small remote island in newfoundland, and brought my border collie with. were both from vancouver, so we've never had any poison ivy problems before. but unfortunately, this damn stuff grows all over the entire island..and twice now he's gotten it all over himself... right deep into his paw pads, his tummy, and i believe his tongue, too. i watch him run around the house and claw at himself and try to crawl onto my lap, basically anything to relieve himself of the rotten thing. right now, he's quivering and whimpering on my bed. please, tell me what i can do for him. would a bath AFTER the fact do any good?
