I have a close friend who has an 8 year old son who has a pretty serious outbreak of poison ivy on both his arms. During a visit to his dads house, his father decided that wrapping his arms in ace bandages to "stop himn from itching" was an appropriate treatment. As someone who grew up in a very wooded area of Connecticut and suffered from periodic outbreaks of Poison Ivy, I have tried just about remedy known to man, but have never heard of this. Can anyone shed some light as to whether this "home remedy" is effective, or as I suppose, more harmful...

Thanks in Advance
