Depends how bad the vines were bruised, how long the vines have been growing, etc.. I used some dish soap and sprayed the area where i eradicated them. I think it helped alot because I have been planting stuff in that area and haven't been infected. I waited about a week and started my new project. Also, you have to watch out for any saplings coming up in the future. Pull them out while they are small. You can try the salt method of spraying but you will have to wait for awhile to plant there.
