Dear Cathy,
I can truly sympathize with you on the annoyance of poison ivey/oak. I battle this every year and have resorted to many things. A lot of times I get desperate and start putting clorox directly onto the rash. As I have just done myself. This does seem to help, although it may leave you with a burn which eventually turns into a scab. I'd much rather deal with a scab over itching. In the past, my doctor has prescribed prednisone which helps tremendously. If your lucky, you could give your doctor a call and he will call you in this. Oh, I don't want to forget white shoe polish! I have tried this also and it seems to work. I wish I could give you more advice, because I know how frustrating this is for you. I have sworn after this latest episode with the annoying rash that I will be leaving my outside lawn work to the men in my house!!! Good Luck!
