HELP!!!
Two weeks ago my Fianc� was working out in the yard trying to build a dog pin. Well it appears he was in the poison ivy/Sumac patch. Needless to say I have it all over my body and so does he. We have a puppy and she was out there with him I think she may of rubbed against the patch too.
The next day I realized I was scratching and then noticed the patches! ARGHHHH! I washed the dog that night but since then my fianc� and I have both been to the doctors and have received shots or steroids and prednisone tablets (spl?). Well his seems to be going away but mine NOPE! Actually I am itching in areas where I don�t even have it. I thought it might be an allergic reaction to the fabric softener along with the poison ivy since I went crazy with the washing I was worried to think it might be on our cloths. SO I went back to the doctors and he gave me Zyrtec. He seemed baffled by this as well did not understand why the prednisone did not work. So of course I stopped taking the rest of that medication and he switched me to Zyrtec. I am getting no relief! At this point I am ready to take both meds at the same time!! (that can�t be good) I can't stop itching even when I try. I wake up itching! PLEASE SOME ONE HELP ME!!! Can you recommend anything to use. Topical such as lotions have not seemed to work.. I am going on three weeks and it is not getting better! �Sniff� �Sniff�
