Ten days ago, I did some volunteer yard work for a friend. In the process of cutting back the cames of some wild blackberry or raspberry (not sure) bushes, i scratched my forearms. The canes and the leaves were thorny. Now, I have what I believe is poison ivy/oak/sumac on my forearms. I did not see any of those plants, and I am not positive, but am pretty sure there weren't any there. Is is possible that wild (non-cultivated, grew on their own) berry canes exude the same or similar toxin as pi/po/ps?
