I understand that the rash is caused by Urushiol Oil.
I understand that this oil is pretty stable, and on surfaces may retain potency for more than a year.

So, what happens when we overcome a rash of infestation by this irritating oil?

Does our body somehow digest it and convert it to some other chemical form?

Does our body eliminate it without digestion?

Does this stable irritating oil instead gradually leak from our bodies and then no longer irritate us?

Does something else happen?

While it may sound strange, just what does happen when we overcome an attack of this irritating oil?

The oil probably either goes away or gets broken down into a non-irritating form.

Just curious...
