I contracted a rash a little over 2 weeks ago on the top of my foot. (I'm typically highly allergic to insect bites and I guess now, poison ivy. I still have faint purple/pink scarring on the skin of the top of my foot but all itching and blistering is gone.)
The area almost feels painful like a stress fracture but nothing showed up on an x ray and sometimes it doesn't hurt at all. However, during the last 24-36 hours, the pain has resurfaced and my calf on the affected leg feels numb. My orthopedic surgeon who took the x rays says she was familiar with poison ivy causing nerve problems. I'd be interested to know if others have been diagnosed, symptoms, treatment and recovery time.
