Hi, a couple of weeks ago I decided to use weedwacker to clear some weeds. Knowing very well that I did have poison oak in the bush, I covered myself up well. Ha, Ha, the weeds started flying and hit me in the face, then stupid me had to adjust weedwacker string a few times...oops,,forgot to protect my hands. Needless to say, I have joined the ranks of sufferers all over. I have found this treatment for relief. Clean rash areas, apply calamine lotion. I started using small water bottle to apply calamine lotion to spray on infected areas doesnt drip as much. If you itch, which you shouldn't, but probably will- then apply some of that- new waterless hand sanitzer -instant hygiene without the soap and water-to wear you scratched. It contains alchol stings a bit at first but sure clears up and drys up infected areas super fast. It has worked miracles for me..
I was wondering if you burn the bush where the poison oak/ivy is will it return the next year?
