Not that unusual. As I've mentioned many times, what works for some doesn't work for others. The hot water causes a "histamine rush" to the skin. Histamines are what causes the skin to itch. For many, the super hot shower treatment causes a period of relief after the shower. For you, you see the opposite effect and I've heard from others who don't find relief with a hot shower. So perhaps a cold shower is best? Many recommmend cold compresses to help relieve itching. So a cold shower could be the trick.
