Hi Renee -

A chlorinated swimming pool is a great way to help treat the rash. My husband and I both spend more time in the pool if we have a poison ivy rash. It seems to promote healing. The blisters seem to dry faster. If you look at a number of the home remedies, chlorine in some fashion (such as jumping in the pool) ranks highly.

As a general rule keeping the blisters dry is a good idea. This could be considered one exception (and a fun one at that! :-))
