Oh my goodness! What we've been discovering from these posts on the board is that allergies are difficult to pinpoint AND the prescriptions given aren't always the right ones. This is a tough area of medicine.

I looked up Medrol and see that that is a brand name for methylprednisolone, a glucocorticoid (steroid). Here's a link for more information on medrol: Medrol Online. I've been reading quite a bit of medical literature and most of the documents state the same thing: it is imperative that your course of steroids be long enough (generally 15 or more days) otherwise you can end up with a rebound rash (possibly worse than the initial rash!).

I hope that things are clearing up for you by now. The steroids should help take the swelling down. I would assume the topical cream is to help control the itch.

I've been trying to think of something light to say here - tough as I haven't had a really bad rash in about 5 years. Hmmm.... I've got it - here's a link to actual comments left on U.S. Forest Service registration sheets: Camper comments. A little bit of humor should help to keep the mind off the itching :-)
