Ok, is the fluid coming out of the blisters contagious or not? Some say that only the Urushiol oil is contagious and hence once the oil has been completely removed, from skin and everywhere else, then the healing begins. So then the rash would then be a direct contact thing only, would it not? And once all of the Urushiol oil is gone then there is no more direct contact and the rash should not persist beyond a few days worth of showers. But then in the same breath it is stated that in a systemic case the person has a concentrated dose and the Urushiol oil can get into the blood stream and then the body forces it out. Once it hits the dermal layer then the rash (blisters etc...) begin. Does this not mean that the stuff coming out of the blisters is contagious since it is what your body is forcing out? Or does our bodies change the Urushiol oil chemically into something else that is not reactive? Or is it the case that only in a systemic case is the liquid contagious and then how do you tell the difference (how do you tell for sure)? I don't want to infect family and friends, nor do I want to keep on washing sheets and clothes every day. Please lets talk about this!!
