I bet the orange glo stuff would work. It seems to do a great job on oils and grease around here. I have never tried it on carpet though.

Here is the answer you need on removing oils and other stains too!.

I really didn't understand exactly how and why things got clean before so I have started work on a page that I will eventually link in. If you want an early look please see this new page on how soap works. It discusses the concept of surface tension and how soap or solvents work in removing the oil.

I havn't used tecnu on carpets but its a solvent since its based on mineral spirits so provided it doesn't cause any color to run it should work very well.
