This sounds exactly like what happened to me. I was on day 8 and the oozing kept coming. My shirts were soaked minutes after changing. Just do your best and keep it dry.

I had tried so many remedies that I think looking back I made it worse. If you have access to a pool, I would go for a swim. The soaking and chlorine will help dry it and you won't itch while swimming. If that is not an option, you could try some of the remedies others have given.

In the end I used Zanfel. After the first washing, I saw a huge improvement in the weeping and most of my swelling went down. You might be able to get similar results with something that exfoliates the skin but be careful as you have an open wound. Many things can make this worse. You do not want the granuals to be so large to cause scarring. I think womens face scrubs would be too large for example. Baking soda paste can dry it very well but also burn you if you are not careful and use it too much.

I found this reference to itching which may help.

Keep calm. Stress can releases histamines which causes more itching. I got myself so worked up over the rash that I probably made it much worse.
