| Hey--I use Tecnu to avoid the rash when I mountain bike or go hiking. It is awesome and I've used it for about 10 years now. I get it at Rite Aid or CVS but I'm sure other people carry it. Its a cleanser that removes the oil that causes the rash (urushiol). I am in poison oak or ivy almost every week and Tecnu saves my life. If I know, or even think, that I have been exposed I use the Tecnu to get those oils off so it the rash won't start. Put it directly on dry skin like it says--don't get your skin wet first. Then rub it around and rinse it off after 2 minutes. |
