Morning Kandy,

Unfortunately, once you have the rash it takes about 2 weeks to go away. In the meantime, all you can do is find ways to minimize the itch and of course keep the rash clean and dry. I've never had much luck with calamine lotion though it works great for others. You might try some of the other treatments listed on the site for itch relief - I've seen several recent testimonials about using ice packs and also the hair dryer to help control the itch.
