can poison ivy ever grow to resemble a tree?  in our woods are several small "trees" (up to maybe 8-10 feet tall) whose leaves look exactly like poison ivy, but are growing on branches like a tree, with trunks and all.  it is not bushy, like one photo i found here.  we found something similar in the woods by our front yard which my husband attacked with weed killer last year.   (we often joke about how he pointed out the poison ivy tree growing from the vine up another tree.  i tried to insist what we saw was just the leaves of the tree, until my husband pointed out the tree was a pine.  evidentally the vine put out branches which looked just like tree branches.  it was above our heads and hard to see clearly.)  what i found today was actually growing like a tree from the ground up.  i am quite allergic and have been half tempted to expose myself to solve this riddle, but i'd really rather not do that, and i would rather not attack these things if they are just some other trees whose leaves look similar. if anyone can offer words of wisdom, i would appreciate it.
