Gordon,

Perhaps you have a cellulitise infection. I came down with this unusual infection as a result of a particularly large scrap on my thigh (commonly reffered to as a rasberry) I got in a soccer game. I cleaned and bandaged the scrape when I returned home and everything seemed fine. In the next couple of days my leg began to break out in a red rash. The spots on your arm you experience may be an infection that is spreading through your bloodstream. Later it began to harden up and spread. I began to see redlines where it was traveling down the veins in my leg. The doctors diagnosed this as a cellulitise infection. This infection is caused by any number of bacteria that may have gotten in when I hit the ground.

Although your case seems minor it may be the result of a similar bacterial infection that would have entered the scrape from the ground. Consult your doctor. These types of infections can be fought with antibiotics. If you treated this with Neosporin it may also be a reaction to the Neosporin which is becoming more and more common.

Hope this helpful.
